About This Pirate Birthday Invitation Template

Follow the frame layout clockwise and it tells a small story. A red parrot in a black three-cornered hat perches on a palm branch, a dotted trail leads to a torn map with a red X, and a volcano island rises across the water. At the bottom right a wooden chest overflows with coins and red and blue gems beside a starfish, and opposite it a ship with candy-striped sails and an anchor on the hull rides a curling wave under a black flag. The skull on that flag is round and grinning, more mascot than menace.

The lettering has some swagger. The name is in tall red capitals with a slight wobble, like a word stenciled on a crate, and the age line is a chunky black face with a small lowercase n tucked among the capitals. Date, time and place are set in sturdy plain type on a sandy clearing, and the QR code shades from brick red into sea blue so it looks like part of the map rather than a sticker.

Three layouts

  • Pirate birthday invitation template, Center card

    Center card

The art opens into a whole beach: the ship sails in at the top left, the parrot (hatless here) watches from a palm, a crab and a seashell sit in the sand, and the age goes in a red scalloped badge shaped like a wax seal.

  • Pirate birthday invitation template, Framed

    Framed

Ship, chest, parrot and map wrap around a wide patch of sand, the roomiest setting for a long address or a beach park with a long name.

  • Pirate birthday invitation template, With photo

    With photo

Your child's photo sits in a red ring just below the treasure map, so the birthday kid looks like the captain of the voyage.

Three color schemes

  • Parrot red
  • Deep sea blue
  • Doubloon gold

A scheme recolors the lettering, badge and QR code, never the artwork.

Who This Pirate Invitation Is For

Pirate parties suit roughly ages three to nine, and they are among the easiest themes to dress for: a striped shirt and a painted-on eye patch count as a costume. There are no swords or cannons on this card, only a ship, a bird and treasure, so it can go home in a preschool cubby as easily as in a third grader's backpack.

Girls captain crews too, and nothing here leans one way. Parrot red is the classic choice; Deep sea blue is cooler and looks right for a beach, lake or splash-pad party; Doubloon gold gives the name a treasure-chest glow against the sand.

Pirate Birthday Invitation Wording

Pirate talk is half the fun, and the lines you can rewrite have room for a little of it. Keep the RSVP line short so it sits neatly under the code.

Pirate Party Ideas to Match

  • Map and X treasure hunt

Draw a map of your yard or apartment on brown paper, crumple it and tear the edges so it looks old, and mark an X where the chest of chocolate coins is hidden. Give younger crew members picture clues instead of written ones.

  • Walk the plank

Lay a wide board flat on the grass (never raised) with blue paper "sea" on either side and a few paper sharks. Kids walk it, take a bow and jump into the paper waves.

  • Dress-up dock

A basket of bandanas, felt eye patches and paper parrots that clip onto a shoulder. Guests suit up as they arrive, and the photos come out matching the parrot on the card.

  • Ship-shape snacks

Watermelon boats filled with fruit, cheese-slice sails on pretzel masts and fish-shaped crackers in a blue bowl. Hand the coins out at the end so the chocolate does not all disappear before the cake.

Pirate Invitation Template FAQ

Is a pirate invitation all right for a girl?

Yes. The card shows a ship, a parrot and treasure, nothing aimed at boys only. Deep sea blue or Doubloon gold changes the feel, and the style panel lets you pick any color for the lettering.

How do I tell parents it is a costume party?

Use the line of your own on the card, for example "Pirate dress welcome!", and give more detail in the Note to Guests on the RSVP page, where there is room for what to wear and when the hunt starts.

Which layout shows off the ship best?

The frame and photo layouts show the full ship with its red-and-white sails at the bottom left. In the center card layout the ship sits behind the panel at the top left, with a cream sail painted with the skull and a red pennant flying from the mast.

Can I print one for every kid in the class?

Yes. Paste up to 40 names and the editor makes one card per child, and the list never leaves your device. Print two to a Letter or A4 sheet and cut along the crop marks.

Is this template really free?

Yes, all of it. Downloading the card and seeing replies need a free account.

Do guests need an account to RSVP?

No. They scan the code or open the link, then enter their child's name, who is coming and any food allergies.

Can the card be in another language?

Yes, any of eight, chosen above the form; the guests' RSVP page follows it.
