About This Safari Birthday Invitation Template

Four young animals hold the corners of this card. A spotted giraffe stretches up the left side, a monkey dangles by one arm from the vines at the top right, a lion cub with a fluffy orange mane sits among the ferns at the bottom left, and a grey elephant with pink ears lifts its trunk at the bottom right. Between them runs a thick border of monstera and palm leaves, dotted with orange hibiscus and a couple of bird-of-paradise flowers. It feels more like a walk through the jungle than a dusty savanna, so it fits a jungle party just as well as a safari one.

All four have pink cheeks and closed-mouth smiles; there is not a tooth or a claw on the card. The child's name is written in a looping orange script, the age line in a heavy, rounded dark brown, and a small orange star splits them from the date and place. The middle is a warm cream rather than bright white, which picks up the sandy tones of the lion and giraffe and keeps the printed card looking sunlit instead of stark.

Three layouts

  • Safari birthday invitation template, Center card

    Center card

The leaves open into a full scene with a pale sun and mossy rocks: the monkey hangs from a branch, the giraffe and elephant peek around a white panel, and the age sits in an orange scalloped badge on top.

    Framed

The four animals keep to the corners and the foliage curls around a broad cream clearing, so a park name and a two-line street address have room to breathe.

  • Safari birthday invitation template, With photo

Your child's picture goes in an orange-rimmed circle at the top of the clearing, with the giraffe looking on from the left; pick a shot where the face fills most of the circle.

Three color schemes

  • Lion mane orange
  • Palm frond green
  • Watering hole teal

A scheme recolors the lettering, badge and QR code, never the artwork.

Who This Safari Invitation Is For

Safari parties tend to run from age two to about seven. The animals here are babies, round and blushing, which makes the card an easy fit for a toddler or a preschool class, while a seven-year-old who collects animal facts will still name every species on it. The leafy border suits a park shelter or a backyard especially well, but nothing about it says outdoors only.

Boys, girls, twins, a joint party for two cousins: the animals belong to no one in particular. Lion mane orange is the warmest and sits closest to the artwork; Palm frond green lets the lettering melt into the leaves for a calmer card, and Watering hole teal gives a cooler contrast that some parents prefer for an older child.

Safari Birthday Invitation Wording

You can rewrite four lines on the card itself: the heading, the age line, a line of your own and the RSVP line. Here are safari-flavored versions of each, plus words for the RSVP page your guests open and for the text you send with the link.

Safari Party Ideas to Match

  • Binocular craft

Two cardboard tubes taped side by side, a length of yarn for the neck strap and a sheet of animal stickers. Make them as guests arrive so everyone has a pair for the hunt that follows.

  • Hidden animal hunt

Tuck small toy animals among houseplants, under cushions or in the bushes, starting with the four from the card. Hand each child a picture checklist to tick off; non-readers can match the drawings.

  • Animal walks

Call out an animal and everyone moves like it: swing elephant trunks, stretch tall like giraffes, roar on all fours like lions, scratch and hop like monkeys. It burns energy before cake and needs no props at all.

  • Watering hole snack table

Animal crackers, banana "monkey bites", cheese cubes and a blue bowl of fruit punch as the watering hole. For guests under three, cut grapes and cherry tomatoes into quarters lengthwise and skip popcorn and whole nuts.

Safari Invitation Template FAQ

Is this a safari invitation or a jungle invitation?

A bit of both. The animals come from the savanna and the leaves from the rainforest, so it suits either name. If your child calls it a jungle party, say so in the heading, for example "Into the jungle we go!".

Can I use it for a two-year-old's party?

Yes. Set the age to 2 and the age line and the badge change with it. The baby animals look right for a toddler, and the card is simple enough for small guests to point at their favorite.

If I move the text, will it end up on top of the animals?

No. You can drag the lines around, but only inside the safe margins, so the words and the QR code stay on the cream area or the white panel and the giraffe, lion, elephant and monkey stay in view.

Is this template really free?

Yes, all of it. Downloading the card and seeing replies need a free account.

Do guests need an account to RSVP?

No. They scan the code or open the link, then enter their child's name, who is coming and any food allergies.

Can the card be in another language?

Yes, any of eight, chosen above the form; the guests' RSVP page follows it.
