About This Unicorn Birthday Invitation Template

These unicorns are dozing: eyes shut in happy curves, rosy cheeks, legs tucked under them on clouds of pink, lilac and mint. Each mane runs through every pastel at once, and each horn is a little twist of gold. One naps up in a top corner and its twin down in the opposite one, with small rainbows, gold stars and sprigs of tiny pink hearts in between. On the version with a central panel, just one unicorn peeps over from the upper left while a full rainbow arcs over the other side.

The painting is soft watercolor, so the lettering has to carry the card across a room: round, heavy bubble letters in berry pink spell out the name, with the age in deep plum beneath. Date, hours and venue come next in a quieter rounded face, all of it resting on the cream middle instead of on the clouds. It is a gentle, bedtime-story sort of invitation, more lullaby than glitter.

Three layouts

    Center card

One unicorn peeps over the white panel while a rainbow fills the far corner, clouds are banked below, and a scalloped pink badge carries the age.

The two napping unicorns hold opposite corners and clouds drift down both sides, so the middle stays open cream with room for a two-line address.

  • Unicorn birthday invitation template, With photo

Here a circle at the top holds a picture of your child, between the sleeping unicorns. Outdoor daylight suits these soft colors better than a dim snapshot from the living room.

Three color schemes

  • Berry pink
  • Twilight violet
  • Sea glass teal

A scheme recolors the lettering, badge and QR code, never the artwork.

Who This Unicorn Invitation Is For

Unicorn parties are most often asked for between about three and eight. Because these unicorns are sleepy and sweet rather than prancing, the card sits well with the youngest guests, and it suits a pajama party or a sleepover at any age.

Most families who choose it have a daughter in mind, though nothing on it says girl, and plenty of boys love unicorns too. Sea glass teal or Twilight violet cool the pink down; Twilight violet looks most like an evening sky if the party runs into bedtime.

Unicorn Birthday Invitation Wording

The unicorns are napping, so dreamy, cloud-nine wording fits them. Below are ideas for each editable line, for the reply page, and for a quick note to the class group chat.

Printing tips for this design

  • The clouds fade almost to white at the edges and the manes are pale pastels, so choose a bright white, non-glossy card and the highest quality setting. On thin paper or with a tired cartridge, the lilac and mint drift toward grey.

Unicorn Party Ideas to Match

  • Golden horn headbands

Roll cones from gold card stock and glue them onto plain headbands, then add felt ears and a few ribbons in mane colors. Start the craft at the door so everyone wears one by photo time.

  • Pin the horn

Draw a large unicorn on poster paper and give each child a paper horn with tape on the back. Younger children can simply close their eyes instead of wearing a blindfold.

  • Sugar cone cupcakes

Dip the rim of a small upturned sugar cone in melted white chocolate and gold sprinkles, and stand one on each frosted cupcake. Cupcakes are easier for small hands than slices of a tall cake.

  • A sleepy story corner

Like the unicorns on the card, wind down at the end: pillows and a blanket on the floor and a picture book read aloud while parents arrive for pickup.

Unicorn Invitation Template FAQ

Can a boy have this unicorn invitation?

Of course. Unicorns are not a girls-only interest, and nothing on the card says otherwise. Sea glass teal gives the lettering and QR code a cooler look, and any name color you like is available from the style panel.

Is the art the same in all three color schemes?

Yes. A scheme recolors the lettering, the age badge and the QR code; the pastel unicorns and clouds stay as they are. The style panel can also shift the background tint warmer or cooler.

Does it work for a unicorn pajama party?

It does. Put what to bring in your own line, such as "Pajamas and a pillow!", and write the pickup time and anything else families should know in the note guests read when they reply.

Is this template really free?

Yes, all of it. Downloading the card and seeing replies need a free account.

Do guests need an account to RSVP?

No. They scan the code or open the link, then enter their child's name, who is coming and any food allergies.

Can the card be in another language?

Yes, any of eight, chosen above the form; the guests' RSVP page follows it.

Looking for a favorite character?

Templates stick to themes anyone can use. For a character your child loves, our AI designs an invitation in that world, just for your party.
