About This Kawaii Birthday Invitation Template

The whole border looks like a sheet of stickers from a stationery shop. Cream bunnies and honey-brown bear cubs peek over clouds at the top, and down the sides each one clutches something: a pink heart, a striped heart, a lavender heart, a yellow star. Between them sit swirl lollipops tied with bows, wrapped candies, a cupcake with a cherry, balloons, a polka-dot gift box, a tiny rainbow and a scatter of pastel stars. Every face is made of the same few marks (two dots for eyes, a small mouth, round pink cheeks), and that simplicity is what makes the style read as kawaii.

The center card layout turns it into a party in progress, with gingham bunting along the top, more balloons, stacked presents, and bears and bunnies peering around the panel. The lettering is soft and round, the name in candy pink and the heading and time in blue, so it sits with the pastel art instead of shouting over it.

Three layouts

  • Kawaii birthday invitation template, Center card

    Center card

Bunting, balloons and wrapped presents crowd around a white panel while a bunny and a bear peek over its top corners; the age goes in a pink badge.

  • Kawaii birthday invitation template, Framed

    Framed

The bunnies, bears and sweets ring the edge like stickers on a notebook cover, leaving the cream middle free for the details.

  • Kawaii birthday invitation template, With photo

    With photo

The photo you upload takes the top spot in a round frame, between a bunny and a bear on their clouds; a close-up with a big smile matches their faces.

Three color schemes

  • Strawberry milk
  • Taro
  • Mint soda

A scheme recolors the lettering, badge and QR code, never the artwork.

Who This Kawaii Invitation Is For

Kawaii draws a slightly older crowd than most cute themes: children from about five to twelve who collect stickers, gel pens and squishy erasers. It manages to be cute without looking babyish to a fifth grader, which a lot of pastel cards cannot.

Mostly it gets picked for daughters, but the bunnies and bears are not gendered, and any child who loves cute things can have it. Mint soda is the least pink scheme; Taro suits a sleepover or a craft party.

Kawaii Birthday Invitation Wording

Kawaii Party Ideas to Match

  • Sticker swap

Give every guest a small sticker book and set out a pile of sheets to trade from. Children this age will happily bargain for twenty minutes.

  • Bunny and bear cookies

Plain round cookies, white icing, and brown and pink icing pens: two dots, a tiny mouth and pink cheeks turn each one into a face from the card.

  • Bear rice balls

Shape rice into balls, add ears and eyes cut from nori, and serve them in small boxes with fruit and cucumber, a nod to the bento lunches behind the style.

  • Stationery favors

Instead of candy bags, fill clear pouches with a gel pen, a mini notebook, washi tape and a cute eraser. Keep the tiny erasers away from siblings under three.

Kawaii Invitation Template FAQ

What does kawaii mean?

It is Japanese for cute. In stationery and art it means round, simple creatures with dot eyes and pink cheeks, like the bunnies and bears on this card.

Is a kawaii card too young for my tween?

Usually not. It is a style many older kids and tweens choose on purpose, and the rounded lettering does not look babyish. For a cleaner look, the bordered layout with the open middle is the least busy.

Are the bunnies and bears well-known characters?

No. They are original, made for this template, so the card belongs to your party and not to any brand.

Is this template really free?

Yes, all of it. Downloading the card and seeing replies need a free account.

Do guests need an account to RSVP?

No. They scan the code or open the link, then enter their child's name, who is coming and any food allergies.

Can the card be in another language?

Yes, any of eight, chosen above the form; the guests' RSVP page follows it.

Looking for a favorite character?

Templates stick to themes anyone can use. For a character your child loves, our AI designs an invitation in that world, just for your party.
