About This Woodland First Birthday Invitation Template

The painting is a forest floor seen up close. An owl perches on an oak branch hung with acorns, a fox kit sits beside a pair of red, white-spotted toadstools, and a bunny and a hedgehog share the opposite corner, their fur and quills painted in fine strokes. Ferns, oak leaves, sprigs of red berries, daisies and lily of the valley fill every gap. On the Center card the forest closes in: tree trunks rise on both sides, the animals are half hidden behind the panel, and a little waterfall spills over mossy rocks at the bottom.

The lettering has a doodled, felt-pen look, with a rust-red name over a dark brown age line, and all of it rests on warm cream. The colors are earthy rather than candy-sweet (rust, moss, bark brown), so the card looks as good for an October birthday as for one in May.

Three layouts

  • Woodland birthday invitation template, Center card

    Center card

The forest surrounds a cream panel on every side, with the age in a rust rosette and the owl looking down from the top right; the most detailed of the three.

  • Woodland birthday invitation template, Framed

    Framed

The four animals keep to the corners while the greenery climbs both sides, so the open cream middle has room for a park name and a shelter number.

  • Woodland birthday invitation template, With photo

    With photo

The same forest frame around a rust-ringed photo circle; an outdoor picture with leaves or grass behind the baby blends right into the greenery.

Three color schemes

  • Fox rust
  • Moss
  • Creek blue

A scheme recolors the lettering, badge and QR code, never the artwork.

Who This Woodland Invitation Is For

Woodland is a favorite for a first birthday in a park, a backyard or a rented cabin, and for parents who want something gentler than bright party colors. The animals look like real little creatures rather than cartoons, which grown-up guests appreciate, and nothing about the card says boy or girl.

Fall birthdays suit it especially well, since the rust and moss sit happily next to pumpkins and turning leaves; Creek blue is the cooler scheme for a spring baby. It carries on to a second birthday with nothing to change but the number.

Woodland First Birthday Invitation Wording

Woodland wording tends toward cozy rather than punny. These lines fit the card, followed by a note for the RSVP page and a text to send with the link.

Note to Guests (RSVP page)
We'll be at Picnic Shelter 2 in Cedar Hollow Park, a short walk on a paved path from the north parking lot, so strollers are no problem. There are tables, but bring a blanket if you'd like to sit on the grass, and please mention any food allergies in your reply.

Woodland First Birthday Party Ideas

  • Toadstool cupcakes

Red frosting dotted with white chocolate chips turns cupcakes into the mushrooms on the card. Keep those for older guests and give the baby a plain smash cake with soft whipped-cream spots instead.

  • A forest-floor table

Run oak leaves, pinecones and acorns down the grown-ups' table as free decoration. Keep acorns and small cones off the floor, since they are exactly the size a crawler puts in her mouth, and decorate with store-bought mushrooms only, never ones picked outdoors.

  • Animal ears for the photos

A basket of felt fox, bunny and owl ear headbands lets siblings, cousins and brave grandparents match the card in the group picture.

  • Crawler basket

Fill a low basket with large, baby-safe things: a wooden rattle, a soft plush fox, big fabric leaves. Babies can explore it on a blanket while the adults eat.

Woodland Invitation Template FAQ

Do the woodland animals look like cartoons?

Not really. They are painted in soft storybook watercolor with gentle faces and detailed fur, closer to a picture-book illustration than to a cartoon, so the card feels calm and a little old-fashioned.

Will a long park address fit?

Yes. The venue wraps onto a second line, and the Frame layout leaves the widest middle of the three. Directions such as which parking lot to use fit better in the note on the RSVP page.

Can I put a photo of my baby in the forest?

Yes. Choose the With photo layout and upload a picture in the form; it appears in a round frame above the name, with the owl, fox, bunny and hedgehog all around it.

Is this template really free?

Yes, all of it. Downloading the card and seeing replies need a free account.

Do guests need an account to RSVP?

No. They scan the code or open the link, then enter their child's name, who is coming and any food allergies.

Can the card be in another language?

Yes, any of eight, chosen above the form; the guests' RSVP page follows it.
