About This Pastel First Birthday Invitation Template

There is no painting on this card, only shapes: large circles in mint, lilac, powder blue, butter yellow and pink that slide off the edges, with small triangles, paper strips, squiggles and dots sprinkled around them, plus a handful of gold-foil pieces. The ground is the palest lilac white, close enough to white that the card looks clean on any paper. The gold is part of the picture, so it prints as a warm golden color, not as shiny foil.

The name is set in a heavy, rounded bubble letter in rose pink, over an age line in dark plum. Flat color with crisp edges stays sharp at any size, and the plain middle leaves room for a long name or a two-line address.

Three layouts

  • Pastel birthday invitation template, Center card

    Center card

The confetti is thickest here, covering the card edge to edge around a cream panel crowned by a pink rosette for the age.

  • Pastel birthday invitation template, Framed

    Framed

A few big dots sit at the corners and the rest is sprinkled lightly, leaving the middle nearly bare: the most minimal of the first birthday cards.

  • Pastel birthday invitation template, With photo

    With photo

The light scatter of dots around a pink-ringed photo circle above the name; with so little around it, your baby's face is what people look at.

Three color schemes

  • Rose
  • Mint
  • Lilac

A scheme recolors the lettering, badge and QR code, never the artwork.

Who This Pastel Invitation Is For

Choose this one when you want a first birthday card with no animals, no story and nothing to build the party around: the colors do the work, and they go with almost any pastel plates or balloons you already have. It suits a girl or a boy (Mint or Lilac move the lettering away from pink), twins, and a second birthday as well.

Pastel First Birthday Party Ideas

  • Mix-and-match tableware

Buy plates and napkins in three or four of the card's pastels and mix them rather than matching, so the table looks like the confetti on the invitation.

  • Paper circles, not loose confetti

Skip tossed confetti around a crawling baby, since tiny pieces go straight into mouths. Hang garlands of big paper circles in mint, lilac and pink instead, well out of reach.

  • A dotted smash cake

Frost a small cake in white and pipe soft dots of pink, mint and lilac icing over it, like the circles on the card. Save the sprinkles for the grown-ups' cupcakes.

Pastel Invitation Template FAQ

Is the gold on the card real foil?

No. The gold flecks are printed in a gold color, so on paper they look warm yellow rather than metallic. That also means the card prints on any home printer with no special stock.

Is the pastel invitation only for girls?

No. The confetti mixes five pastels evenly. The Rose scheme makes the lettering pink; Mint and Lilac give the same card a neutral look for a boy or for twins.

Can I add a photo of the birthday baby?

Yes. The With photo layout sets a round photo above the name, and because the confetti is so light there, the photo becomes the center of the card.

Is this template really free?

Yes, all of it. Downloading the card and seeing replies need a free account.

Do guests need an account to RSVP?

No. They scan the code or open the link, then enter their child's name, who is coming and any food allergies.

Can the card be in another language?

Yes, any of eight, chosen above the form; the guests' RSVP page follows it.
