About This Teddy Bear First Birthday Invitation Template

The bears are drawn the way a nursery book would draw them: plump, honey-brown, a little sleepy, one hugging a balloon string, another dozing on a cloud. Around them are pale blue skies, sage leaves, tiny gold stars and balloons in dusty blue, sage and cream. The center card layout adds a crescent moon in the corner.

The baby's name is written in a rounded script, with the date, time and place in a calm sans serif underneath. All the text stays on a cream or white panel rather than over the painting, because watercolor is soft by nature and fine print on top of it would blur. The palette is quiet on purpose: it should look at home on a fridge door next to the baby's first photos.

Three layouts

  • Teddy bear birthday invitation template, Center card

    Center card

Clouds, balloons and a crescent moon fill the card, with the details on a white panel and the age in a honey-colored badge. The most "storybook" of the three.

  • Teddy bear birthday invitation template, Framed

    Framed

Bears and balloon bunches sit in the corners and along the sides, leaving lots of cream space for a longer venue name or a two-line address.

  • Teddy bear birthday invitation template, With photo

    With photo

The same frame of bears with the baby's photo in a round frame above the name. A smiling close-up from the last month or two works better than a newborn picture at this size.

Three color schemes

  • Honey
  • Sage
  • Dusty rose

A scheme recolors the lettering, badge and QR code, never the artwork.

Who This Teddy Bear Invitation Is For

Made for a first birthday, and it works for a second one too: set the age to 2 and the age line follows. Teddy bears are one of the classic first birthday themes because they suit a baby who will not remember the party, and a room of grandparents who will.

The colors are neither pink nor blue by default, which is why many parents choose it for twins or when they simply do not want a "boy" or "girl" card. Dusty rose adds warmth to the lettering if you would like it.

Teddy Bear First Birthday Invitation Wording

Printing tips for this design

  • The watercolor edges are pale: print on bright white matte card so the soft blues and creams do not look grey, and check the ink levels first, because faded light colors are the first thing a low cartridge loses.

Teddy Bear First Birthday Party Ideas

  • Teddy bear picnic

Ask every guest to bring a teddy bear, spread blankets on the grass or living room floor, and seat the bears in a row for photos. Toddlers love the line-up more than any game.

  • Smash cake

A small cake just for the baby, frosted in cream with a little bear on top. Put a washable mat under the high chair and keep a damp cloth close.

  • Book instead of a card

Guests write their wishes inside the front cover of a picture book. By the end of the party the birthday baby has a first library with a message from everyone.

  • Honey jar favors

Tiny jars of honey with a bear sticker make an easy thank-you for the adults. Keep them out of reach of the little ones: honey is not for babies under one.

Teddy Bear Invitation Template FAQ

Is the teddy bear invitation for a boy or a girl?

Either. The art is honey, sage and dusty blue, which reads as neither pink nor blue. Choose the Dusty rose scheme if you would like a warmer touch in the lettering.

Can I add the baby's photo?

Yes. The With photo layout puts a round photo above the baby's name, framed by the bears and balloons. Upload it in the form above.

Can I use it for a second birthday?

Yes. Set the age to 2 and the age line and badge change with it. The design was painted for babies and toddlers, so it suits both.

Is this template really free?

Yes, all of it. Downloading the card and seeing replies need a free account.

Do guests need an account to RSVP?

No. They scan the code or open the link, then enter their child's name, who is coming and any food allergies.

Can the card be in another language?

Yes, any of eight, chosen above the form; the guests' RSVP page follows it.
