About This Balloon First Birthday Invitation Template
In the Frame and With photo layouts the balloons are gathered in bunches of four or five at each corner, every bunch finished with a curly ribbon bow, while a string of pennants (polka dot, striped and plain) swags across the top and bottom. Little stars, hearts, dots and paper streamers drift down both sides. The Center card fills the whole background instead: more balloons, stacked presents with satin bows, and four soft baby animals (an elephant, a teddy, a bunny and a giraffe) smiling out from behind the white panel.
Every balloon is round and glossy, and none has a number or letter painted on it, so the artwork is just as right when the badge says 2. The name is set in a puffy, cloud-edged bubble letter that looks a little like the balloons above it; the date, time and address follow in a plain rounded face. The ground behind it all is a warm cream, which keeps the pastels soft on paper rather than washed out.
Three layouts

Center card
Balloons, gift boxes and the four peeking animals surround a white panel, and the age sits in a scalloped pink rosette at the top: the busiest, most party-like of the three.

Framed
Only balloon bunches, bunting and confetti line the edges, with no animals, so the big cream middle gives a quieter card that grown-ups on the list will find a touch more elegant.

With photo
The frame's balloons and bunting around a pink-ringed circle for your baby's picture, set high in the cream space with the name right under it.
Three color schemes
- Balloon pink
- Seafoam
- Lavender
A scheme recolors the lettering, badge and QR code, never the artwork.
Who This Balloon Invitation Is For
Balloons are the easy answer when a first birthday has no theme yet. A one-year-old has no favorite anything, and a card full of balloons simply says "party". The four pastels are mixed evenly, so the art suits a son, a daughter or twins; choose Seafoam if you would rather the lettering were not pink.
It is just as good for a second birthday, or for a joint party for cousins born a few months apart: change the number and the rosette and the age line follow. The animals on the Center card look very baby-young, so for a child turning two the Frame layout may feel a little older.

Balloon First Birthday Party Ideas
A ceiling of balloons
Let helium balloons in peach, mint, butter and powder blue rise to the ceiling with their ribbons hanging at adult height. Pick up any that pop straight away: scraps of latex are a choking risk for babies and toddlers, so balloons are for looking at, not for taking home.
Bunting photo corner
Tape a cluster of balloons and a strip of pennant bunting to one wall, low enough to frame a high chair. It becomes the spot for the twelve-month photo, and every relative will want a turn holding the birthday baby there.
Present-shaped smash cake
Frost a small one-tier cake in butter yellow and pipe a mint ribbon and bow across it, like the wrapped gifts at the bottom of the card. A separate sheet cake for the adults saves the pretty one for the baby to dig into.
Wish tags
Leave a stack of paper tags and a pen by the door. Guests write a wish for the year ahead, and afterward the tags go into the baby's first-year album.
Balloon Invitation Template FAQ
Is there a number "1" in the balloon artwork?
No. The balloons are all round, with nothing printed on them, so the painting never goes out of date. The age appears only in the badge and the age line, and both follow the number you type in the form.
Which layout has the baby animals?
Only the Center card. The Frame and With photo layouts keep to balloons, bunting and confetti, which is handy if you want the photo of your own baby to be the only face on the card.
Can I make the lettering stand out more against the pastels?
Yes. Besides the three schemes, the style panel lets you choose any lettering color, so a deep plum or navy name will pop more. If a color would be hard to read on the card, the editor adjusts it and lets you know.
Is this template really free?
Yes, all of it. Downloading the card and seeing replies need a free account.
Do guests need an account to RSVP?
No. They scan the code or open the link, then enter their child's name, who is coming and any food allergies.
Can the card be in another language?
Yes, any of eight, chosen above the form; the guests' RSVP page follows it.
